Calculating Student Volume of Learning

The purpose of this table is to enable unit designers (unit coordinators) to determine the overall volume of student learning for the unit. Calculating the overall volume of student learning is notional and therefore the intention is to define how long a student would commonly take to: - prepare for and perform each of the assessment tasks and learning activities contained in the unit - engage with and/or attend various forms of instruction in the unit In order to assign minute/hour values against each of the elements in your unit, you will need to reference the unit level learning design in parallel with an assessment equivalence table.
